4.8.2 WT Hybrid Power System

The simulation diagram of the WT hybrid power system is presented in Fig. 4.39. The results are comparatively presented for both GaPESC and PESC schemes, but other MPPT algorithms may be used as reference as well. The signal yM that modulate the dither’s amplitude will be Gd given by (4.21a) for the GaPESC scheme or yM = 1 for the PESC scheme:

The WT model from the MATLAB–Simulink® [77] has been adapted in order to select the WT mechanical power (Pm) or the WT mechanical torque (Tm) as input of the GaPESC scheme. Except the normalization gains that are now kNy = 1/1000 and kNp = 1, the aforementioned parameters of the GaPESC scheme have been used in simulation. Also, these parameters have been used for the PESC scheme.
